Ahh - the Sunshine State

We left for Florida very early on Saturday morning - our flight left at 6 am. The flight to Chicago was uneventful - all 35 minutes of it. Our flight to Orlando from Chicago, well that was another story. We were seated behind a family of 5 and the youngest screamed all the way from Chicago to Orlando. She finally fell asleep as we landed. It was so cute that one of the other children stood up in his seat and apologized that his little sister cried all the way. The temperature in Orlando when we landed was 80 degrees. Yippee!!! We picked up our car - this trip's rental car is a white Nissan Pathfinder. We easily found our house due to the use of our GPS Cynthia.
We have a lovely 5 bedroom home with a heated pool. We dropped off suitcases and quickly went to our local Wal-Mart where we stocked up on food, soda, inflatable alligators and killer whales, Spongebob beach towels, Madagascar Penguin slippers and beer. Just the essentials, we can pick up everything else at another time. Back to the house and into the pool - well we first put away the perishables.
The pool is heated and fabulous. We splashed around for a while but soon some of us were very very tired having had 5 hours of sleep the previous night. Lori and Grandma head off to their rooms for some much needed sleep and the young ones continued to party. They played in the pool and then spent some time in the game room and as a result Todd is complaining about his shoulder. Apparently he puts too much spin on the ping pong ball. Finally everyone is in their bedroom, enjoying the thoughts of spending 7 days in Orlando where the temperature is expected to be over 80 degrees each day. Wonder how cold it is in Wisconsin?
